Phonofone II is shiny, expensive iPod dock

I feel very much like a bird that’s attracted to shiny things right now, but I can’t help myself. Isn’t that Phonofone II beautiful? It’s in the shape of a Victrola and while you may have seen other iPod docks that look like that one in the past, you’ve never seen one that functions like it, that’s for certain.

The Phonofone II - Limited Edition Black is designed by Tristan Zimmerman and while it may look retro, it certainly doesn’t perform like it. No external capability source is due. In

fact, it outputs sound through just the potential of your iPod or iPod touch. Unfortunately, the iPod nano and Shuffle won’t work here, but it’s still pretty cool.

The best types of music to groove to on that old-school treasure are Classical, Blues and Folk. And with classic tastes come hefty price tags. You can get your very own Phonofone II for $600. I gulped aloud when I saw the price, but that doesn’t compose that sound amplifier any less pretty.
